The January 24th show features the following performers: Robert WebsterRobert Webster is a singer/songwriter who grew up performing at resort hotels, clubs, and dockside taverns on the coast of Southern Maine. He currently lives with his wife and family in the Charlotte, NC, area, where he continues to write and perform. SongRamp reviews say of his work, "A sweet surprise with honey dripping vocals through a sweet melody" and, on Rob's lyrics, "The poetry is worth the read." He performs at the Evening Muse Songwriters Showcase in Charlotte, NC, and at the famous BlueBird Café in Nashville, TN. John WebbJohn Webb has been singing most of his life and has been a member of a local trio for 26 years: this group sings dinner music for local restaurants and events. A graduate of Appalachian State University, John taught in the North Carolina public schools for 35 years and is now retired, giving him more time for his second career of songwriting. He began writing songs while teaching high-school English. He writes for his own gratification, but has been able to use some of his songs in performance with the trio. He lives in Rockingham, NC. Gregory TaylorGregory M. Taylor, a Florida native, has been writing songs since his college days at Appalachian State. His style encompasses jazz, folk, and rock, and he plays guitar and piano, plus bass and congas on occasion. He has released one LP and 3 CDs and has played with such bands as Lost Theory, Funky Junk, Delta 9, Moving Currents, and the Ink Spots (Greg Carroll), along with solo performances. He has his own publishing company, Infinite Limits. He also serves as regional workshop coordinator for the Boone, NC chapter of the Nashville Songwriters Association.
