For Immediate Release: SK Netcafe: Small Charlotte Club Makes Big Noise
January 12, 2005 (Charlotte, NC) Is it a coffee shop with Internet access? Is a live music venue? Is it a bar? What is it, really? Actually, the SK Netcafe is all of the above. The 50-person capacity cafe located in Elizabeth offers coffee, beer, wine, and free Internet access for laptops with any purchase. They also offer a wide variety of Charlotte music. On Saturday, January 22nd, Brian Hartzog brings his full band to the SK Netcafe. Hartzog, who is touring in support of his second CD, One-Way Ticket, blends classic rock, funk, punk, and spoken word to create what he calls "funk and roll". Expect to hear a range of musical influences--from the Beatles, to Prince, to David Bowie, to P-funk and the Sex Pistols. You can hear clips online at: http://www.brianhartzog.com. Hartzog will also be appearing on Andrew Webster's Complex Radio show the Monday prior to the show (1/17). Tune in to WSGE (or http://www.wsge.org) from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. to listen.
