For Immediate Release: New Bar in NoDa Embraces Charlotte’s Performing Community

Wine Up!, the newest hangout in NoDa, is embracing the district's commitment to the Charlotte arts scene. In addition to its casual (and non-smoking) atmosphere, Wine Up! is showing its commitment to the local music scene by booking Charlotte's most active indie performers. For example, February 6th's Gallery Crawl show features Charlotte songwriter artist Brian Hartzog performing acoustic versions of songs from his newly released CD, One-Way Ticket.

Hartzog's funk-and roll music is a cross between classic rock (the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and David Bowie) and funk (Prince, Parliament, and James Brown). His unique songwriting style blends well with Wine Up's eclectic atmosphere. While this is Hartzog's first show at Wine Up!, other local artists have already found a home there-including Tom Eure, Amy Broome, and Rudy Currence.

Located on the corner of 36th Street and North Davidson just behind Boudreaux's, Wine Up! is a great place to finish off your Gallery Crawl evening, offering beer, wine, live music, pool tables, and a casual environment to help you forget your hectic week.
There's no smoking, no cover, and no reason not to stop in.
